RIVER BEND POINTE SOCIAL WAS A HUGE SUCCESS !!!!!

A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL who attended the July social at
River Bend Pointe in Granite Falls on the evening of July 13th.

Approximately 17 CVPA members, 6 guests of members, a number of
attorneys, 2 judges (Owsley & Mullinax) and several members of the community
relaxed, dined and networked at the lovely clubhouse facility -- River Bend Pointe.

Special guests Jane Bowers, Director of the Humane Society of
Catawba County and Arnita Dula, Staff Attorney for the City of Hickory,
representing the Women's Resource Center, also joined us.
Donations were plentiful to each group, and it was our privilege to
join together in assisting both these worthwhile and worthy organizations.
Both the HSCC and WRC play important and vital roles in our community.
Indeed, we are all very fortunate to have these two fine organizations
in our midst.  When those in need -- including our 4-legged friends --
receive aid or assistance from the HSCC and WRC -- we, as a
community benefit, for what helps one of us helps us all.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the set-up, take-down and who brought
food to share with the crowd.  We have some GREAT cooks in CVPA!  And
we must also recognize those who "stayed up all night" cooking for the event
(wink wink)....your efforts were definitely worth the work! All the food
was absolutely delicious!

We appreciate the "men folk" who helped move, clean-up, and etc.
B.J., Tim, Bill, Dr. B., David
THANKS!!!!

Jennifer's children drew the winning tickets for the $25 gift card
give-aways: Debbie, Delores and Cyndy
Thanks to Peggy, CVPA and Cyndy for donating the gift cards.

A very special note of appreciation to Lynn for coordinating
the event. Due to her connection and association
with River Bend, we were able to enjoy the beautiful facility at
no cost to CVPA.

Lynn always makes everyone feel welcome,
and her energy is contagious!  A "heart-felt" thank you to Lynn!

To every single person who attended, ate one bite of food, laughed,
shared a story, networked, or brought a donation --
named or unmentioned here --
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!  The evening was asuccess because of YOU.
We had a blast and can't wait to do it again -- December 14, 2010.
